Cerebral palsy is any nonprogressive
abnormality of the brain occurring during
or shortly after birth. It is caused by
oxygen deprivation, injury during birth,
haemorrhage, meningitis, viral infection,
or faulty development. It is characterized
by muscle spasm, weakness, lack of
coordination, and impaired movement.
